ABOUT STANLEY SLAUGHTER

I have worked as a journalist in the UK all my career, first on local and regional newspapers and then for many years on national newspapers in London including the Evening News, Daily Mail, Sunday Telegraph and Mail on Sunday.

I was features and travel editor of The Birmingham Post before becoming a freelance travel writer.

As an editor, I set up Teletext's travel section in 1992 and wrote and ran it for five years.

My travel writing has appeared in many national UK newspapers, including The Times, Daily and Sunday Telegraphs, Financial Times, Sunday Express and Mail on Sunday, regional newspapers and numerous magazines business and consumer magazines.

I am a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers and the Outdoor Writers' Guild.
